Instructor Apprentice

NEW INSTRUCTOR APPRENTICE PROGRAM

For kids age 15, this is a “volunteer” program that will help us with immediate staffing challenges and encourage them to become Cannon Mountain ski and snowboard instructors at age 16. The kids will get specific training and be used to assist in Cannon Kids, especially the red and orange groups, and with inside hosting.

Apprentices:

• Must be age 15 no later than December 1.
• Will get a minimum of one hour training prior to assignment plus be able to join any of our regular training sessions throughout the winter.
• Will qualify for an employee season pass.
• Must commit to a minimum of one day per weekend and four weekday days during the holiday weeks. The working hours will be 9 am to 3 pm.
• Will always be teamed with an instructor and never be left with the primary responsibility for a student. 
• Skiers and snowboarders are welcome; skill level is not critical although some ski or riding experience is desirable. Prospects should contact Irv Fountain as soon as possible. Space is limited. Compensation will be made for any apprentice who already has a 2009-10 season pass.
