Winter Camping
Centrally located in Franconia Notch State Park, it provides a great base if you're looking for a primitive winter camping spot close to winter hiking, skiing and snowboarding.
Lafayette Campground provides wooded tent sites available for primitive camping with no facilities. Winter camping at Lafayette Place Campground is carry-in/carry-out. A pay station is provided for self registration.
Winter RV Park
The 7-site RV park, located on the north shore of Echo Lake, right at the base of Cannon Mountain. The Cannon Mountain RV Park is open year-round by reservation. In the winter there is electrical hooks up only. There are no facilities on site and RVs must be self-contained.
RV Park Reservations
Reservations are required year-round- New Hampshire State Parks has partnered with Reserve America to offer our guests a high-quality reservation service. The dedicated toll-free number to call to make a reservation through the Reserve America Call Center is: 1-877-nhparks (1-877-647-2757) or visit www.reserveamerica.com.
DO NOT pull into an open site - If you have not made a reservation through Reserve America, check the reservation sheet at the ticket booth. DO NOT pull into an open site with a RESERVED sign on it or into a site indicated as occupied on the reservation sheet.
Reservations are strongly recommended and take priority over walk-ins - If you pull into a site with an existing reservation you WILL HAVE TO VACATE that site.
Walk-Ins are only accepted on a first-come first-served basis off-season beginning Columbus Day through the Thursday before Memorial Day Weekend
RV Park Rules
Pets are Prohibited - If you make a reservation and bring a pet with you, we reserve the right to cancel your reservation, deny access to the site and provide a refund, minus applicable fees.
Trash must be disposed of properly - All trash must be taken off the property with you. Please do not leave trash outside unattended at any time. We appreciate your cooperation.
All camping vehicles must be self-contained - There are no facilities in the winter.
Overnight camping is not allowed in the parking lot - Overnight camping is permitted ONLY in RV Sites 1-7.
