New Hampshire State Parks celebrate 90 years of recreation and conservation

NH Chronicle |

"We've been stewards of the public lands in New Hampshire for a very long time," said Greg Keeler, marketing director for N.H. State Parks. "The park system has grown exponentially. We now have 94 properties in the state park system."

That includes state parks, campgrounds, historic sites, 22 beaches both inland and along the seacoast, thousands of miles of recreation trails, and one ski area: Cannon Mountain at Franconia Notch State Park.

"We encourage folks to take advantage of this amazing resource that we have here and we try to make it as easy as possible for people, and certainly there are plenty of parks in our system where you can access them for free," Keeler said.
