YEAR-ROUND POSITIONS

Cannon Mountain Operations – Automotive Mechanic
Now taking applications for a full-time year round automotive mechanic at FNSP/Cannon Mountain. Must have an associate’s degree in automotive mechanics from a recognized college or technical school and two years’ experience as a journeyman mechanic in a large garage repairing motor vehicles, and related equipment. Must possess a valid driver’s license. Salary starting at $36,566.40

Scope of Work: Perform unskilled and semi-skilled tasks at The Flume Gorge. Minimum Qualifications:
Skill: Requires minimum skill performing a series of routine procedures or in operating equipment according to standardized instructions.
Education: Completion of eighth grade or its equivalent
Experience: No experience required
Special Requirements: All above positions

Retail Store Clerk I

Salary Grade 6 $12.53
Scope of Work: To operate a cash register terminal in making sales in a retail store at The Flume Gorge and/or Cannon Aerial Tramway.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Completion of two years of high school or equivalent. Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience.
Experience: Six months experience in positions involving public contact necessitating change making. Additional years of relevant work experience may not be substituted for the formal education required by this class specification.
Recommended Work Traits: Ability to communicate effectively orally. Ability to understand and follow instructions. Ability to work with the public tactfully, courteously and effectively. Must be willing to maintain appearance appropriate to assigned duties and responsibilities as determined by the agency appointing authority.

License/Certification: Must possess a current Red Cross Lifeguard Certificate or other equivalent water safety and first aid credentials.

License/Certification: Valid New Hampshire driver's license if required to plow snow and sand driveways and walkways.

License/Certification: Must possess a valid driver’s license if required to operate a vehicle to perform job accountabilities. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must possess good physical condition and sufficient strength to do heavy lifting, bending, and climbing on mountain terrain in the dark, in a windy and sub-zero climate. Must be able to work outdoors in varying climatic conditions.

>Snowmaking - Pumphouse Operator

Scope of Work: To operate and monitor water pumps and air compressors at Franconia Notch State Park/Cannon Ski Area to ensure the snowmaking system is operational and working at optimal levels in order for our visitors and staff have an enjoyable and safe experience.
