Opening day always feels like Christmas morning, when we still believed in Santa. It's full of excitement, anticipation and hope for what the season will bring. On opening day this place comes alive again and you are what makes it special, our locals from near and far, the first timers and seasoned vets. We are stoked to open a week early for you. Welcome to the 2025/2026 season. Let's get after it! 

On to why you are really here, the classic Cannon snow report. Peabody Quad and Cannonball Quad will spin at 9am. We are looking at top to bottom laps on 7 trails: Upper Cannon and Tramway off the summit. Easy Link, Big Link, Middle Cannon, Rock Garden and Lower Cannon from Peabody Quad. Keep in mind, we are working with early season conditions here and terrain is intermediate to advanced. Groomers will be out on all open trails, conditions will be machine groomed, loose granular. 

There is no access back to the base from the bottom of Cannonball Quad. When you are ready to head to back to Peabody and Notchview Lodge do not go down the Links, head down Middle Cannon. 

Summit Station will be open for restrooms and a warming hut only. There will be not food and beverage up there this weekend.  

Patrol would like to remind everyone, DO NOT DUCK ROPES! If a trail is closed it is closed for a reason and is not as good as you may think it looks. 

After you have taken those first few laps give your legs a break and stop in at the Peabody Lodge at 10am for a very special surprise. Over the summer, we teamed up with Littleton artist and owner of Baba Yaga, Zach Johnsen, to design and paint a mural in Peabody Lodge. It celebrates the legacy, energy, culture and community spirit of Cannon! We can't wait to share it with you. Zach will be onsite to talk about what the project and the mountain mean to him. He will also have a limited run of prints available to purchase.

Uphill: There is no uphill at this time.
