An extra appealing forecast is on tap today and this is going to be the weekend to make up for lost time at Cannon.  You'll be able to come out of your snow cave and ski/ride the most open trails, most vertical and most snow in NH.  We'll be afforded the luxury of shedding those extra layers and making turns on the best surface conditions of the season.  We're expecting a gorgeous day with sunny & clear skies, light winds and a high temp near 22 in the afternoon (expect a colder start).  Probably the best Saturday forecast we've seen all season.  Don't waste any more time...the goods are here & now.

Saturday - We're scheduled to open with all 81 trails and all 9 lifts.  The main lifts spin at 8:30 (Peabody, Mittersill, Zoomer, Cannonball, Tuckerbrook), but the first-tracks Tram departs at 8:15, and all secondary lifts open at 9 (see the lift report for a complete schedule).  Groomers planted rows of corduroy on 57 trails overnight, including winching on Profile.  They also made a few passes on Baron's Run over at Mittersill.  You can expect the best packed powder of the season on most groomed trails, while the natural terrain features great coverage.  Race training will be in progress on Gary's, Banshee, Time Zone and Turnpike, which all remain open to the public.  Also, please note that on Saturday, March 7th the Eastern High School Championships will be taking place on Missing Link, Middle Ravine & Turnpike.  These trails will be closed while racing is in progress.

Also in Cannon news...hold onto your seats...we now have FREE WiFi in the lodge! Currently available in the Peabody Lodge and soon to be available in the Notchview & Brookside lodges compliments of Wireless LINC, managed by SNS (Secured Network Services). Enjoy!
