Long-term forecasts are calling for another 4 weeks of winter, and the largest storm of the season is currently heading our way. Weather models predict between 15 and 20 inches of heavy snow between Wednesday and Thursday mornings. We picked up 3 inches of snow last night, and conditions on the mountain are firm, fast and first-rate. Extra snow means extra trail-openings - expect Kinsman Glade and DJ's Tramline to re-open Thursday or Friday. Make plans now to be up here this weekend, since all 73 trails + the Mittersill Backcountry should be open and ready for some legendary play. We have the most open trails in NH, plus the Mittersill Backcountry will be open tomorrow for advanced skiers/riders. Tomorrow is NH Resident Wednesday - tickets are $25 for residents who present their NH ID.
Wednesday - We're scheduled to open at 9 am with 71 trails, plus Mittersill, and 4 main lifts (view the lift report for a full lift schedule). Groomers plan hit 53 of 71 trails overnight - expect mostly packed powder & loose granular surface conditions from top-to-bottom. Use caution on the ungroomed terrain and stay on open trails only. Temps tomorrow are predicted in the high 20s to low 30s with winds NE 10-35 mph.
